Parent FAQs
What are your operating hours?
We are open for Breakfast Club from 7:30 AM and After School Club until 6:00 PM, providing flexible care for busy schedules.
What is the age range?
We welcome all children from Reception through to Year 6, ensuring age-appropriate activities and safe, inclusive play for everyone.
What should children bring?
We ask that all children come to club with suitable clothing and footwear for the weather each day, particularly for our walks to and from Old Hall Junior School. Please ensure children have a coat, suitable shoes, and in warmer weather a sun hat and sun cream already applied before attending club. During colder months hats, gloves and waterproof coats are recommended. To help us keep belongings safe, please clearly label all items with your child’s name. We kindly ask that children do not bring toys, valuables or personal items from home into club unless agreed in advance with management.
Are snacks and food provided?
Yes — children attending our breakfast club will be provided with a healthy breakfast and drink each morning. We kindly ask that children arrive before 8:15am where possible to allow enough time for breakfast and to help them settle calmly into the start of their school day before leaving for school.
Children attending after school club will be offered a light snack and drink shortly after arrival at club. Please note that this is intended as a snack to keep children going until home time and will not replace an evening meal or tea at home.
How does drop-off and pick-up work?
Drop-off in the morning and collection in the afternoon take place at the entrance to the Year 2 side of Westfield School. Please make your way around the front of the Year 2 classrooms and continue around to the back of the school. There is a doorbell next to the door – press it and a member of our team will come to greet you. You’ll then be asked to sign your child in or out using one of our club tablets.
For safeguarding and the safety of all children, we kindly ask that parents and carers remain at the door when dropping off or collecting children from club. Staff will support children into the setting and ensure they are safely signed in and settled. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
How can I contact the team?
You can reach us on 07359 351519 or 07359 369676. You can also email the team at thekidzlounge22@gmail.com, and a member of staff will get back to you as soon as possible to help with your query.
Do you open during the school
holidays?
Yes — we are currently working towards offering holiday club provision during selected school holidays. Our holiday sessions aim to provide children with a fun, safe and engaging environment packed with activities, games, crafts and themed experiences. More information, availability and booking details will be shared with families throughout the year.
